EVALUATION OF KIDNEY FUNCTION IN AN ELDERLY PATIENT WITH ACUTE MYELOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA AFTER HEMATOPOIETIC STEM CELL TRANSPLANTATION: A CASE REPORT
نویسندگان
چکیده
Relevance: Kidney functions in treating acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) undergo serious effects, especially elderly patients. Chemotherapeutic drugs used to prepare for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) inevitably affect patients’ kidney function. Moreover, involutive changes the kidneys can physiologically decrease function.
The study aimed evaluate function an patient with AML after HSCT.
Methods: article describes a clinical case of who underwent allogeneic Results: We analyzed dynamics functional state from moment registration +100 days HSCT. During entire follow-up period, we did not detect any renal dysfunction patient. Despite HSCT and effects nephrotoxic + 100 HSCT, was preserved.
Conclusion: described highlights importance maintaining patients long-term monitoring.

Central Pontine Myelinolysis in a Patient with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia after Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: A Case Report
We describe a 37-yr-old man who developed central pontine myelinolysis (CPM) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After HSCT, desquamation developed on the whole body accompanied by hyperbilirubinemia. The liver biopsy of the patient indicated graft-versus-host disease- related liver disease, and the dose of methylprednisolone was inc...

introduction: acute myelogenous leukemia (aml) is a clonal malignant disease of hematopoietic tissue. the early use of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (hsct) for aml was for patients with advanced stages of disease, usually while in relapse, in second or subsequent remission, or with resistant disease. patients and methods: from march 1991 until february 2008, 356(65%) registered allo...
متن کاملCase Report Isolated cutaneous aspergillosis in an acute lymphoblastic leukemia patient after allogeneic stem cell transplantation
Cutaneous aspergillosis is very rare and occurs predominantly in immunocompromised patients including transplant recipients. We report a 26-year-old male with acute lymphoblastic leukemia who developed cutaneous aspergillosis after undergoing combined immunosuppressive treatment including corticosteroid, cyclosporine A, mychophenolate mofetil and mesenchymal stem cells for steroid refractory sk...
متن کاملPreliminary Results of Allogenic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation of non-M3 Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Background: Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (allo-HSCT) is used as treatment of choice for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We aimed to evaluate the prognostic factors in 2-year overall survival of patients with non-M3 AML who underwent allogenic HSCT. Methods: This is a Cross sectional retrospective study. Demographic data and study of variables such as age...
متن کاملHodgkin’s Lymphoma Occurring Secondary to Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation in Plasma Cell Leukemia; A Case Report
Survival of patients with multiple myeloma has improved substantially because of availability of new therapies including autotransplants, immunomodulating drugs and proteasome-inhibitors. Second primary cancers have emerged as an important determinant of morbidity and mortality among cancer survivors. Even though there is an increased risk of new cancers of the lymphoreticular and haematopoetic...
